#14 Casein
The main protein in milk, casein, unlike other proteins, has a unique ability to last for a long time. Taking it right before bed can make it most useful as your body will use it to its fullest advantage while you sleep. A study from the Netherlands concluded that participants had a higher metabolic rate while sleeping when taking casein.
A Texas study showed that pairing casein with whey caused participants to outperform their counterparts. Researchers from a Massachusetts study surmised that casein doubled the effect of whey protein on strength results.
If you are currently on any kind of medication or you need more information about a supplement’s potential effects on your body, be sure to consult a doctor before you try it out. After all, any supplement worth taking is also worth researching.
All in all, health supplements can give you that extra boost or even protection you may need. Depending on the supplement, you could potentially increase your muscle mass, stamina, and overall health. So don’t wait to reap the benefits! Which supplement will you try for the first time today?

If you are very new I would stick with just a whey protein for post/pre workout. Although all 14 of these supplements I do think would help you.
