#13 Closed Grip Lat Pulldowns Seem Easy. Am I Doing Them Correctly?
In many instances, doing a lat pulldown properly depends on how you adjust your seat. Sit at a pull-down machine using a wide bar hanging off the top pulley. Be sure to adjust the knee pads to be suited to your height. Properly adjusted pads will help to keep your body from being lifted by the resistance. They will also ensure you don’t bounce and cheat on reps.
Grab the wide bar and keep both of your arms extended out in front of you. Hold the bar and bring your torso to 30 degrees back to create a curve with your lower back for the starting position. Breathe out and bring the bar down to your upper chest, drawing your upper arms and shoulders back and down. Complete three sets with between 12 to 15 reps.
