We get it, you’ve probably said no to these for the most of your life, so why add them in your diet now? There’s plenty of good reasons for this. Dean says, “broccoli sprouts have been shown to actually have twenty percent more anti-cancer agents than regular broccoli.” These delicious vegetables can easily be topped on salads or used as sides. Change it up a little and ignore the boring broccoli superfood and go for broccoli sprouts to enjoy their life-enriching yummyness.
How to enjoy it:
The main reason you’ve been saying no to these since your childhood is because very few people know how to cook broccoli the right way. Sure, you could boil it and lose almost all the nutritional value and all the flavor in the process, but you’re an adult now and you can do better than that. Dice it up raw and put it in a salad. Grill it, bake it, roast it or even pan sear it. The key with all of these is to drizzle some extra virgin olive oil on it and add some sea salt and pepper. If you really want to turn up the flavor, hit it with some cayenne pepper, too!
