After all, they all promise the same thing: packed with protein, keeping you satisfied longer, burning calories and revving up your metabolism.

But if that’s the truth, why are there so many different options to pick from?

How can they all be so different yet all do the same thing?

Well, some of them end up doing a lot more harm than good – they’re just as bad as eating a candy bar. If they taste good and they promise to supply fantastic results, you’re going to keep eating them. And that’s going to be a problem if they don’t deliver great results.

So, like you, we are always on the hunt for a legitimate protein bar. After doing some research, we found that one of the hottest protein bar brands on the market is Promax Protein Bars. We did some investigating to figure out if they really delivered on what they said. Here’s our review on their products.

Promax Protein Bar’s Ingredients

First and foremost, we found that they only use clean ingredients, which means you don’t have to worry about any bad or artificial stuff ending up in your bars. Their entire Promax Pro Series is made up of a specific blend of macronutrients in order to help you with your training.

They’ve pretty much got it down to a science 37% of the bar is made up of carbs, 37% of it is protein and the remaining 26% is fat. That means your body is getting the quick proteins and carbs that it needs before and after your workout.

No matter how tough your workout is, your body is going to be repairing, restoring and refueling itself with these protein bars.

What Type of Protein Is Used?

Now, one of the biggest problems that people complain about with protein bars is the low-quality protein the companies tend to use. They will make up their own blend of ingredients to fill it with cheaper, less effective proteins. And obviously, you aren’t going to get a ton of results when you use this as your pre- or post-workout protein bar.

You need something that is going to help you get the job done, recover quickly and effectively, and allow you to function the rest of the day – and the next day in the gym. That’s why we were curious what type of protein the Promax Pro series use. All of the proteins they use in their bars are just that – protein. This means proteins such as milk casein, soy, and whey.

Why are these important?

Because they all have one thing in common: They contain the nine essential amino acids. Each and every one of these proteins has the absolute highest score of PDCAAS (protein digestibility corrected amino acid score). And that points to one answer – that they are complete proteins, the type of protein you want to use with your workouts.

Take a look at your current protein bar and see if it contains gelatin. If it does, you’re getting an incomplete protein source, which isn’t helping you out at all. A lot of protein bars have this, which is a complete waste of your time.

As we mentioned earlier, Promax Pro Series protein bars are completely clean.

What does this mean?

They don’t have any harmful ingredients that a lot of other bars seem to have, such as artificial flavors, colors, preservatives or sweeteners. That list includes sucralose, sodium benzoate, ace-K, and even aspartame. You are truly getting a completely clean protein bar that’s going to help you reach your weight loss or health goals.

Why So Much Water?

One thing that stuck out to us was the recommendation that we drink up to 12 ounces of water with this kind of protein bar. A lot of other bars don’t offer much in the way of direction – simply eat before or after a workout and you’re done.

So why is it that the Promax professionals recommend so much water when eating their Pro Series bars?

We did some searching and we found some pretty impressive reasoning.

Because their protein bars are so dense with nutrients, they need a lot more water in order to break down all the ingredients. This is a critical part of the process because the liquids allow each individual piece of the bar – the fat, vitamins, minerals, protein and bars – to be delivered in a specific manner. And water makes this happen.

Of course, they are going to suggest water over a soda or energy drink because it is free of calories and caffeine. Therefore, it is going to do nothing but work in your favor.

If you think about it, what is the point of having a post-workout bar?

Well, you want your muscles to recover so you can keep working toward your goal. Plus, if you don’t let your muscles recover, you are going to harm your muscles’ tissues. The carbs are going to help with the recovery process as well. They’re going to stabilize your blood sugar, as well as get your liver and glycogen levels back to normal.

Promax Pro Series bars are an important part of your workout recovery because they do all this for you. They give you a good protein to carb ratio, as well as that high-quality protein we were talking about. That means your workout recovery is going to be the best it can be.

And the best part about these bars – they are for anyone. Whether you are just an avid athlete or a bodybuilder, you will benefit from these protein bars. You don’t have to have any certain goals to enjoy this bar. Rather, if you are looking for a way to cut back on muscle soreness, increase your workouts and your recovery, we give this bar a five out of five-star rating. The strong following behind it shows that there are a ton of people who agree that this bar is fantastic and gives you the results you want without any negative side effects.
