# 7 Store-Bought Smoothies
Smoothies have a reputation of being healthy for you since they are full of fruits and veggies. Unfortunately, the pre-made or store-bought smoothies can have between 650 to 1,000 calories due to added simple sugars and syrups. This is not good because of the impact on your blood sugar levels. It can cause your energy level to spike and come down dramatically. And, if the sugar isn’t used up through physical activity, it will be stored in your body as fat.
Avoid sweet calorie fillers like fruit juice blends with added sugar, ice cream, sherbert and whole milk. You will want to get a smoothie that doesn’t exceed 450 calories and is made with mostly fresh fruit and veggies. Try making your own smoothies at home so you know exactly what is going in them.
