Since GNC is a HUGE retailer, without a doubt one of the largest (if not THE largest) supplement store in the US. Carrying over 7,000 stores worldwide, and bringing in $2.5 Billion in revenue per year, they are clearly the market leader it comes to sports supplement nutrition. They carry a wide range of supplements, ranging from the latest pre-workouts to diet and weight loss and even some HGH releasers. That being said, we’ve chosen to review our top Test Boosters you can find at GNC.

PS – GNC doesn’t actually label these products as “Testosterone Boosters”, they call them “Hardcore Products”..just an FYI.

Top 6 Testosterone Boosters At GNC

Don’t let the name confuse you, they’re basically all supplements that pretty much do the same thing — crank up your bodies natural testosterone function.

Here it goes…

#1 Test X180 Ignite by Force Factor

If you’ve been into a GNC anywhere in the country recently, then chances are you’ve seen the Force Factor product line on their shelves. They make a wide variety of supplement brands, including 3 different versions of their Test X180 brand; Test X180 Alpha, Test X180 Ignite (their OG formula), and Test X180 Tempest.

So, we’ve personally tested the Alpha, Ignite, and the original formula, but haven’t had a chance to test out the Tempest version yet. And out of all of those, including other brands as well, the Ignite version seems to be the best.

Ignite is made up of Fenugreek Seed Extract, Green Tea leaf extract, Avena Sativa, and Horny Goat Weed. Now, some of those ingredient names might ring a bell as they’re pretty common, mostly in male enhancement supplements like Vigrx Plus, Extenze, etc., but they have the dual-purpose of being potent test boosters as well!

WIN, WIN!

As a matter of fact, the ingredient Fenugreek (AKA Testofen) has been clinically tested in lab rats, and studies have shown to increase serum testosterone over a period of just 8 weeks.

If you want to get your hands on this stuff, you can find Test X180 Ignite at your local GNC for about $79.99 for a 120 capsule supply. + If you’re a gold card member then you’ll get the deal at about $59.99!

#2 Pharmafreak by Test Freak

This brand also carries a range of diet, weight loss, pre-workout supplements.

We tried this one and thought it was awesome! Pharmafreak is made up of Fenugreek extract, Tribulus Terrestris, and Saw Palmetto. Again, common ingredients found in Test Boosters

It also contains a strong blend of a testosterone boosting formula called ZMA. ZMA is short for the combination of Zinc, Magnesium Aspartate, and Vitamin B6, and has been used primarily by athletes and bodybuilders for many years as an all-natural testosterone booster.

There have been many scientific studies on ZMA’s effectiveness. It has been proven to help with muscle strength gains too!

You can find Test Freak at GNC for around $55 bucks, which is average, as I’m sure you know.

#3 Nugenix

Nugenix is a very popular supplement I’m sure most of you have heard of. They do tons of advertising everywhere, and many reviews on this product were not good. Unfortunately, this supplement company decided to one of those “free trial” scams, and of course, it pissed a lot of folks off. Totally understandable.

Aside from downfall, the actual product is pretty good. Not going to lie.

While taking it, I noticed an increase in my libido, energy, and I even seemed to get better sleep at night.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Without getting too into the details, which would probably require a whole post on its

own, Nugenix uses a patented version of Fenugreek extract called Testofen.

Testofen is meticulously extracted and standardized to its content of Fenusides, which are saponins that have a molecular structure similar to that of a steroid hormone (although they are not actually a steroid or a hormone). After consuming these saponins, they bind to a protein in the blood called Sex Hormone Binding Globulin, or ShBG for short. When this happens, a small percentage of the testosterone that binds to this protein is released, causing a massive boost in testosterone levels.

How massive? MASSIVE.

Nugenix has won a couple of awards from GNC such as the “Best Product Innovation” in the wellness category in 2013, and their “Franchise Outstanding Partner” award in 2014. So, you know it must be pretty decent.

You can buy it in their store (highly recommended) for around $56 with a gold membership card.

#4 Test X180 Alpha

This one is another one from Force Factors product line which we mentioned earlier.

Test X180 Alpha formula is comprised of ingredients like Vitamins B6 and B12, Zinc, L-Citrulline, Catuaba Bark Extract, Maca Root, and another popular ingredient found in testosterone boosters, Testofen.

For the first week or so, I didn’t feel a single thing while taking this, however, I gave it some time and it started to slowly and subtly kick in. I noticed an increase in energy. It’s definitely not one of those supplements that give you that MASSIVE boost^.

This product is on the pricier side at around $100. The choice is yours, friends.

#5 – P6 Black by Cellucor

Another super popular Test Booster. What makes this one a little different is that it is a testosterone booster AND nootropic.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with nootropics, also called smart drugs or cognitive enhancers—are drugs, supplements, or other substances that improve cognitive function, particularly executive functions, memory, creativity, or motivation, in healthy individuals.

D-Aspartic Acid is another common ingredient found in literally dozens of other testosterone boosting supplements and pre and post-workout products.

P6 Black is mainly used to help promote greater sleep quality, which in return allows your body to produce more testosterone on its own. I definitely got better rest while taking this and felt slightly more focused throughout the day, but nothing too intense.

And it’s the cheapest on our list retailing at about $45 for a 60 capsule bottle and wasn’t too bad!

#6 – Growth Factor 9

And last but not least we have Growth Factor 9. Very popular. If you’ve researched it,

then you know it has great reviews.
From the info we’ve gathered, it seems to benefit men over the age of 45+ a lot

more.

The official website calls it a “clinically tested human growth hormone secretagogue”, but for the purposes of this are we’re going to label it as a testosterone booster.

Benefits include the following:

●  Increased endurance and stamina

●  Improved muscle mass

●  Faster recovery time

●  Enhanced mood and sex drive

Unlike most of the others featured in this review, a bottle of 120 capsules will cost you about $100 at GNC unless you have that trusty gold card membership then you’ll save yourself $10 bucks.

Deficit deadlift

CONCLUSION

As we’ve said before, everyone reacts differently to supplements, so the best we can do is provide you guys with some solid information and let you do the deciding.

Our list consisted of what we think your best choices are at GNC stores nationwide. And since GNC comes out with new products so often, we’ll do our best to keep our list up to date.

All of the products mentioned above have been approved by Gym Junkies.

  1. Awesome post! I have been on a testosterone booster kick myself. I remember one of the first supplements I began using was the original Force Factor. I’ve not had the chance to try Test x180 Ignite, I’ll have to go pick up a bottle. Ok… maybe I need to go pick up a couple of picks on this great list to try!

  2. I was looking at whether you had reviewed Test X180 Alpha because it is one product that I know works magic. You have however not given us clear timelines on when the products work. I for example found the Test X180 Alpha to work after 2 to 3 weeks. Could you also do a comparison between Test X180 Alpha and Marine muscle steroids which are being touted as the next big thing in bodybuilding.

  3. No offense that supplements are the great energy booster and perfect to maintain the body. It’s been said that if you want to be fit and active, you must consume the healthy and nutritious diet. Dietary and health supplements have their own effect on health and choosing the right supplement is absolutely worthy. So always choose the best for your body.

  4. Hormonal imbalance is common is a growing age. But it’s necessary to get the right treatment for this on time. Energy boosters are the main in this if taken in the right quantity. This post is really helpful for many people and I am sure you will pick the best for yourself.
